pdfunlocker.io provides a free, online tool for removing password protection and restrictions from PDF documents. The Service allows you to:

• Remove owner-level password restrictions from PDFs
• Remove user-level passwords (when the password is provided)
• Remove printing, copying, and editing restrictions
• Batch process multiple PDF files simultaneously
• Download unlocked files individually or as a ZIP archive

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must:

• Own or have authorization — only upload PDF files that you own or have explicit permission to modify.
• Comply with laws — not use the Service to circumvent copyright protections or violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
• Not abuse the Service — not attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure or functionality.
• Not automate access — not use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service without prior written consent.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of any files you upload to the Service. We claim no intellectual property rights over your documents. The Service itself, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of pdfunlocker.io and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

5. File Handling & Privacy

All files uploaded to the Service are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• Files are temporarily stored and automatically deleted after 1 hour.
• All file transfers are encrypted using TLS.
• We do not access, read, or share the content of your documents.
• No backups or copies of your files are retained after deletion.

6. No Warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be available at all times without interruption
• All PDF files can be successfully unlocked
• The Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations
• The results will be error-free in all cases

Some PDFs with strong encryption may not be unlockable. The success of the unlocking process depends on the type and strength of the encryption used.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, pdfunlocker.io and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or documents
• Loss of profits or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your files
• Damages arising from service interruptions or errors

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless pdfunlocker.io, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
